Dressilyme turned out to be a great low cost wedding option for me. I am about 5'1'' with a very short waist. All of the pre-sized dresses at stores needed extensive alterations to fit me. I couldn't bring myself to buy a dress that I knew wouldn't fit me at all for hundreds of dollars only to pay hundreds more for alterations. I ordered this dress custom to my sizes. I also asked to have the lace collar on the dress removed. They were able to do that for me with a minimal extra cost. The custom size fit pretty well. My only big caution is to BE ABSOLUTELY SURE OF MEASUREMENTS! Especially length! I was disappointed that my dress was a little shorter than I would have liked. I had to wear flats and it looked fine but I was disappointed. You can always hem the length, but you CAN NOT add fabric to a dress. You may want to order an extra inch or two in case if you are worried. Once my dress got here I worked with a local seamstress to make sure the dress fit great. This added about $400 to the cost but was totally worth it. The dress total still came in at about $600-650. For me, a not average size lady, this was a great deal! I also ordered a trumpet dress undergarment which gave more movement and held the shape at the bottom of the dress. TAKE AWAY * Do lots of research and try on lots of dresses to see what looks best on your figure. Then order an on-line dress that is close to the shape of a dress that looks great on you! *BE VERY SURE OF YOUR MEASUREMENTS, ESPECIALLY LENGTH *Find a great local tailor or seamstress to make final fittings *Order proper undergarments
